Structure and Flexibility

We understand that each one of our students differs from the other in many areas. Therefore we have developed two instructional formats without compromising on structure and flexibility. We are a virtual online school that offers structure via a scheduled education and flexibility through our synchronous format or our Asynchronous instruction option. Here at PA Virtual, we do everything we can to make sure your child gets a head start on academic success. We are one of the schools that provide laptops for our students along with a printer/scanner and all curricular materials. Feel like you might not be able to get through some of the technical difficulties that may arise? Have no fear! We provide technical & troubleshooting support so that our parents thrive as successful learning coaches. Concerned about the Amount of Screen Time?

Built into our curriculum for grades K-8 there is a requirement of logging up to one hour of structured, organized, and supervised activities each week. For students in grades 7+, we have a PE course taught by a certified teacher. Equally important, our students receive opportunities for involvement in many academic and social outings statewide each year. There are trips to museums, zoos, parks, and other community destinations in the local area. Additionally, our online school in Central PA offers a number of socialization opportunities, including field trips, volunteer opportunities, and a wide variety of student clubs.

Flexibility

PA Virtual delivers instruction via synchronous and asynchronous classes. Students can attend live classes (synchronous) or work in a self-directed environment supervised by a dedicated teacher (asynchronous).
